The Duel 2 Real World Road Rules Challenge to be Survivor Style in Panama

The upcoming MTV Real World Road Rules Challenge Duel 2 has begun in Bocas del Toro Province, Panama with the cast members flying out over the previous weekend.

This is the last challenge is that is under contract with MTV as is the upcoming Real World Brooklyn season that is filming this summer.

The facts uncovered from the MM Agency and Vevmo about this challenge is that:

- There is no final title to the challenge, but the presumptive title is The Duel 2

- It will last until July 11th, 2008

- The cast were told to watch previous Survivor episodes to prepare them for this challenge.

- The Challenge will be in Panama where Survivor was previous filmed, which leads to the speculation that it will be at the Pearl Islands.

- The cast were told to not bring any electric products

i love this hot bitch

(The clip is) from the pilot episode of a potential new sitcom called Teachers. The pilot seems to revolve around the life of a young, fresh-faced teacher named Tim Donnely, who is heading off for the first day of his new career.

I couldn’t tell you who all the actors were, because I didn’t really recognize them, but I did see one face I knew. Apparently, Constantine Maroulis, who finished in sixth place on American Idol Season 4, is a bad tempered music teacher, who considers himself a musical genius. But also, he appears to be playing himself, which is a little scary. Watch the clip and you’ll see what I mean. Here’s the clip:




I did a little research to see if I could find anything else out about this show, but so far it doesn’t even appear as a blip on anyone’s radar. It turns out there was another sitcom in 2006, also named “Teachers,” also with a fairly unknown cast (although I did recognize Kali Rocha from Buffy the Vampire Slayer), and that one only lasted 7 episodes. I don’t know if it was exactly the same premise cause there wasn’t too much info on that one either. I did see that that show was a copy of a show from the UK, so maybe it was different.

As for the Constantine version, I’d like to see it get picked up, just to see what he can really do. But honestly, after watching that clip, I doubt it. It didn’t seem too funny to me, but then Cavemen got picked up last year, so I guess anything is possible.

Terror at 2am: HMs evacuated

THE Big Brother housemates were smuggled out of the house as cops were called over a terrifying security alert.

The desperados were evacuated at 2am yesterday — and fearful show bosses were forced to cut the live feed.

Contestants then had to spend two hours out of the house.

Today we can reveal how shocked producers on the Channel 4 reality show were spurred into action after receiving a phone call from a member of the public. Police quickly arrived on the set in Elstree, Herts, and searched the house.

Some housemates — including Lisa, Mario, Bex and Luke — were sleeping and had to be woken up.

The wannabes did not return to the house until 4am.

During that time, pictures and sound were cut, with only an apology for the lack of action on screen.

When the live feed returned, housemates were seen munching on toast.

Geeky student Luke, 20, said the four sleeping housemates had been so fast asleep that they did not hear the tannoy asking them to get up.

He said: Dale came in and said that we had to get out.

Another housemate added: Definitely a drugs bust.

Last night, a show spokeswoman said: Due to a security incident, it was necessary to remove the housemates from the Big Brother house as a safety precaution, which therefore caused a temporary break in the live streaming.

After the necessary checks were made, housemates returned to the house without incident and streaming was resumed immediately.

As the others went to bed, shaken Dale and Darnell stayed up until nearly 5am. Melancholy Darnell, 26, griped: Honestly Dale, you wanna know what I’m really thinking?

I'm thinking, like, basically things ain’t going well for me . . . I’ll be going home, cause I’m not doing well.

Dale replied: They can’t take you out just because you’re not doing well.

But Darnell moaned: I’m talking about the housemates — the housemates can take you out and I’m just not in the crowd.

"I don’t think I’m doing as well as I’m supposed to be doing. I couldn’t really enjoy myself because all I do is think about what people expect of me."

Dale told him: "That’s the same for everybody though."

Film critic Jeff Vice tackles the art of reviewing 2 minutes worth of movie footage:

Appearances can be deceiving. First appearances in particular.

I've already shared my misgivings about the first teasers for the Batman sequel "The Dark Knight." The original trailer showed next to nothing, except for a crumbling Bat-symbol, with selected snippets of dialogue and character voices.

And I wasn't the only one who was disappointed by the original "Dark Knight" trailer. An audience I saw it with in December actually booed it.

Fortunately, all the follow-up spots have shown more action and look pretty neat. (I even have female friends who have been "ooo-ing" and "ahhh-ing" just at the sight of heart-throb Christian Bale.)

Speaking of trailers, I'm surprised there's not more "buzz" for another comic book-based movie, "Hellboy II: The Golden Army."

The TV spots and other promos feature cool creatures and imagery that look eerily similar to things from filmmaker Guillermo Del Toro's fantasy "Pan's Labyrinth."

And while I'm at it, here are my appraisal of a few more trailers for upcoming summer movies:

• THE X-FILES: I WANT TO BELIEVE (July 25). Despite my misgivings about following up a television series that's been defunct for nearly 10 years, the ads for this big-screen spin-off are very promising. *** 1/2

• MAMMA MIA (July 18). The only sour note in the trailers for this movie musical is the credit-snubbing of talented co-star Stellan Skarsgard. ***

• STEP BROTHERS (July 25). I may be a little tired of Will Ferrell, but almost everything John C. Reilly does these days cracks me up. ***

• TROPIC THUNDER (Aug. 15). I would have never known that was co-star Robert Downey Jr. under the makeup if they didn't reveal that fact. ***

• THE MUMMY: TOMB OF THE DRAGON EMPEROR (Aug. 1). I wasn't the biggest fan of the first two "Mummy" movies, but am marginally more interested in this one, especially if it means we get to see a Jet Li-Michelle Yeoh duel. ** 1/2

• SPACE CHIMPS (July 18). This one suffered by comparison. The Century Theatre showing the trailer also promoted the video game version. The action in the game looked better, to be honest. **

• STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS (Aug. 15). As disappointing as George Lucas's "prequels" were, at least the computer-generated action looked good. The digital animation here appears to be awful. * 1/2

• DISASTER MOVIE (Aug. 29). To get me to laugh at a spoof, you need to offer more than just pop-culture references ("Enchanted," "Juno" and "Superbad" anyone?). You need actual jokes. *

• MEET DAVE (July 11). Yawn! Eddie Murphy playing multiple characters. Haven't we seen all of this before? *

• THE MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN (Aug. 1). I suspect the makers of this horror film were going for scares, not for laughs.

I'm still bitter about the trailer for the movie Awake. It gave away the whole goddamn plot. If I'm sitting through an hour of Jessica Alba, couldn't they at least make it worth my while?
Does anyone else do this thing where they watch trailers and later when viewing the movie think 'this can't end until I see this scene'?

Okay... I love Legally Blonde, however, I'm not a big fan of the TV show and I was never really sure why, but I have since come to my senses!

In the opening credits Haylie Duff is heard saying "None of you have ever been on Broadway, but by the end of this one of you will be starring on Broadway..." This statement in itself is not true.

Emma Zaks, 25, of Manhattan appeared in the 2004 Revival of La Cage Aux Folles, which her father, Jerry Zaks, directed. She portrayed Paulette, a small ensemble role, and understudied the supporting lead role of Anne. To make matters better, Legally Blonde panalist Paul Canaan was featured in this revival as a cagelle (A male ensemble member dressed up like a chorus girl). In addition, Legally Blonde director/choreographer Jerry Mitchell choreographed the revival of La Cage Aux Folles...

Emma has since been kicked off the show, but I believe this is more than just a coincidence.

Model du jour Agyness Deyn ordered up kisses and hugs during a romantic lunch with her rocker boyfriend Albert Hammond Jr. in New York yesterday.

The 25-year-old and the Strokes guitarist could barely keep their hands off each other as they sat outside The Bowery Hotel's Gemma restaurant.

They then took their romance on the road, cycling around the city together as their date rolled on.

Singer-guitarist Jack White has penned a poem expressing his strong feelings for Detroit to clear up any misconceptions about how the White Stripes frontman feels about his hometown.

White said he was frustrated by a sense that his thoughts about the Motor City were misrepresented since he moved to Nashville two years ago. So, White wrote a poem titled "Courageous Dream's Concern" that was published Sunday by the Detroit Free Press. He says it asserts his "feelings about the city itself, and how strong I believe it to be."

Part of the poem reads: "Detroit, you hold what one's been seeking, Holding off the coward-armies weakling, Always rising from the ashes not returning to the earth."

White, also a member of the Raconteurs, told the Free Press that the poem represents his true feelings about the city.

"The ... poem is the Detroit from my mind," he said. "The Detroit that is in my heart. The home that encapsulates and envelops those who are truly blessed with the experience of living within its boundaries."

White told The Associated Press in a 2006 interview that he had to leave Detroit because he "couldn't take the negativity anymore." In other media accounts, he was quoted as lamenting what had become of Detroit's music community.

He addressed those comments in his statements to the newspaper, saying: "Those expressions of mine have never been a representation of my feelings about Detroit the city, a town that I have strong feelings about ... nor were they expressions about its citizens."
